My name is Jon Aizlewood. I have 5 years experience in the email marketing industry, with special focus given to designing compliant and actionable email marketing campaigns that get results. The constant uphill battle to ensure permission-based email marketing messages get from vendor to recipient relies on dozens of factors, including the overall design and programming of the message, CAN-SPAM compliance, subject line optimization and many others. Drawing upon many of my own trials & errors, deliverability concerns, opens and click-through rate analysis and much more, I have gained valuable experience in ensuring that email marketing campaigns deliver their intended results.

I have just finished 4 years as the Online Marketing Manager at a Montreal-based email marketing service provider (ESP), where I oversaw the extensive Pay-Per-Click program (Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN adCenter), as well as the extensive and almost daily email marketing programs. These email marketing programs included 3-touch email and lead nurture programs, a corporate monthly newsletter, and various ad hoc sales and marketing campaigns that are a key component of the larger marketing mix. For most mailers, I designed programmed and sent using in-house email marketing products to ensure best results.
